I just recorded a quick cover of All I Could Do Was Cry. I'm pretty sure I'm going to get embarrassed and delete it! The guitar is way off and you can hear my dog barking among and the computer starts to sound like an airplane taking off towards the end (among other things) but why not? This is so scary!
My aunt bought me a CD of Etta James hits when I was fourteen that laid down the soundtrack to my high school and college years. I have so many memories of driving down winding roads under canopied live oak trees through the South making my best attempts to sing along with Etta. Solo dance parties in my bedroom, public dance parties ‘down in the basement.’ What a total babe. What an amazing talent. Rest in peace.
